E3 2011: Nintendo E3 Press Conference Summary

Another year of crazy hyped up expectations. As I stood in line for the media check in this morning outside of the Nokia Theater, I got text, Twitter, and Facebook messages from friends who were trying their best to get me dragged into the hype with "my body is Reggie" and "megaton" memes. From expectations to a new Zelda or Metroid to a full fledged 3D Mario, it seems as if a lot of people fell into the same trap that they do every year: massive hype.

Nintendo did deliver on my most wanted game from them, and that was Pikmin 3. Things kind of went on a downward slide from there, but it wasn't a bad conference at all. In fact, Nintendo showed a lot of great games, but they never threw that haymaker punch that we know they're capable of landing. Either way, my thoughts are summed up in the video below.
